Job Description: Responsibilities include the development of specifications, test methods, and judgment criteria for automotive antenna systems including AM/FM/Satellite, radio/GPS/TV/AMPS/S-Band Antennas with the primary focus being AM/FM and satellite radio. This will include performing actual car and bench testing to confirm specification compliance (antenna characteristics and overall vehicle systems noise emissions and antenna/audio system noise toughness) including field test to confirm on vehicle actual performance, troubleshooting design related problems, assembling and disassembling components/vehicles, writing reports, presenting technical information and meeting with suppliers and other departments to review technical issues. Additional responsibilities include audio system development and harness routing as related to antenna and reception performance and promoting antenna research themes including new technology and continues improvement ideas. |
Job Requirements: BSEE and a minimum of 1 year experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Knowledge and interest in the automotive field and experience in the use of electronic measuring equipment and electrical troubleshooting experience desired. Proficient PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other technical software) and excellent communication/interpersonal skills required. Ability to travel and work overtime may be required.
