Job Description: In this ahead of the curve role, you will be responsible for researching and developing new telematics features, while simultaneously determining consumer issues and developing plausible solutions related to wireless technology.
Develop customer survey questions to determine customer demand/value. Project cost of solution (vehicle hardware, software and support infrastructure. Develop requirements, specifications and the business model to support the solution. And additional tasks including developing prototypes and tests to specification/customer value. |
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2+ years of equivalent work experience. Must have a basic knowledge of electrical and communication system technology in the vehicle. Familiarity with wireless trend, technology, limitations and wireless communications such as a cell phone (3G, LTE, WiMax). Understanding the fundamental IT structure and terminology as well as TCP/IP based on OSI Reference Model as well as a strong understanding of internet protocol such as HTTP or Web service. Excellent communication, planning, organizational and analytical skills required. Ability to travel and work overtime may be required.
