Job Description:
Provides strategic analysis and makes recommendations related to automotive styling on a wide range of issues including new market opportunities, competitive intelligence, consumer trends, brand management, etc. Conducts automotive styling market research based on several types of data including APEAL and S-VISION- understanding the competitive landscape and emerging trends. Will analyze styling strategy of competitor in North American market to determine Honda design position and ranking as well as identify and interpret key styling issues facing the Honda/Acura brands or the automotive industry. Understand consumers' values related to styling and how it impacts automotive purchase behavior, present findings in easy to understand, logical method using graphical techniques to various levels of management. Will develop styling research plans and conduct studies to determine consumer styling trends using quantifiable data and disseminate results to styling teams for incorporation into product direction. Moderate focus groups, home visit interviews, and/or in-depth interviews as well as communicate and share research findings. |
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or equivalent technical experience. Requires 4 - 6 years of experience with degree or 8 - 10 years related work experience. Must have an excellent understanding of the automotive industry, market research, interpersonal, communication, presentation and relationship building skills. Must have a working knowledge and practical application with programs such as SPSS, MTAB, Excel, Powerpoint and multiple web based databases. Excellent research, planning, implementation, and process improvement skills as well as organization, analytical, judgment, problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Must have ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff/management and ability to travel and work overtime.
