Job Description: Responsibilities include making 3D designs and 2D layouts; calculating and controlling component parts cost and weight, and managing surface development for Automotive Chassis Components (Steering, Mounts and Brakes). Additional responsibilities will include managing development projects and coordinating with other departments, suppliers and manufacturing.
Job Requirements: BSME and a minimum of 5 year of closely related experience in an automotive drafting or design capacity or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Background should include drafting, CATIA, vendor support/negotiation and manufacturing support. Proficient PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other technical software) and excellent communication/interpersonal skills required. Ability to travel and work overtime may be required.
