Job Description: Responsibilities include analysis of ATV structures using FEA and MBD software. This would include identifying analysis requirements of Powersport development activities, characterizing loads, physical properties, developing analytical models and conducting system and component level dynamic analyses. Additional responsibilities will include post-processing results, predicting performance, development of criteria to identify potential product failures, optimization and development of countermeasures through analysis. |
Job Requirements: BSME degree and a minimum of 1 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Practical experience using commercial non-linear dynamics software such as LS-DYNA for structural impact dynamics analysis and pre/post processors (such as Hypermesh) is required. Knowledge of modeling techniques and material characterization for thermoplastics low temperature impact dynamics and failure is highly desired. Knowledge of metal high strain rate behavior and failure modeling required. Knowledge of structural optimization, DOE and probabilistic methods in mechanics desirable. ATV riding experience and interest a plus. Proficient PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other technical software) and excellent teamwork/communication/interpersonal skills required. Ability to travel and work overtime may be required.
