Job Description: Responsibilities include creating engine specifications and validation for engine control systems during prototype stages. Areas of responsibility will include engine control sensors and actuators and exhaust/evaporative fuel emissions in prototype stages. This would include control system concept creation, program flow architecture design and validation. Additional responsibilities will include developing countermeasures, completing final reports, meeting schedule deadlines, project coordination, test equipment maintenance/repair and facilities planning and development. |
Job Requirements: BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering and a minimum of 1 year related experience in the transportation industry or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience with maintenance/repair of complex machinery and/or electronics, knowledge of data acquisition systems (temperature, pressure, vibration) and experience with simulation software (MATLAB, LABVIEW) or similar technical programming desired. Experience with emissions measurement, equipment, laboratories, dynamometers is a strong plus. Proficient PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other technical software) and excellent communication/interpersonal skills required. Ability to travel and work overtime may be required.
