Job Description:
Responsibilities include ongoing systematic assessment and coordination of current automotive development and related business processes, practices, work flows and documentation. Position will require the creation, analysis, optimization and maintenance of development activities, and incorporation into PLM environment as necessary. Additionally, recommending strategies and methods to improve development process results and working with commercial PLM software, data management and process integration are expected. Applies successful process improvement methodologies to drive innovations that optimize development/business cycles and work flows resulting in cost, customer satisfaction, quality and operational efficiencies. Additional responsibilities will include Project leadership to develop new tools or methods to support Honda needs, working with IT department to integrate developed processes/practices to software solutions and operating in unclear conditions may be necessary depending on the task being undertaken. Investigates, assesses and recommends business systems/technologies that support automotive development vision/growth. Builds/maintains business relationships vital to promoting successful automotive development strategies and facilitates agreement between internal groups in key strategic decisions. Regular communication with management we be required to communicate progress, status and countermeasures needed.
Job Requirements:
BS degree in an Engineering field and a minimum of 8 years of experience with product development or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience with CATIA V5/V6 and ability to work in PLM environment desired. Proficient PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other technical software) and excellent verbal and written communication/interpersonal skills required. Ability to travel and work overtime may be required.
