Job Description:
Responsibilities will include making 3D designs and 2D layouts of ATV/Motorcycle components; calculating and controlling component parts cost and weight. Candidate will also be responsible for working within a fixed schedule and managing their own as well as other’s schedules, verifying drawings and working on product quality projects. Additional responsibilities will include managing development projects and coordinating with other departments, suppliers and manufacturing.
Job Requirements:
BSME and a minimum of 1 year design experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Background should include drafting, CATIA, vendor support/negotiation and manufacturing support. Proficient PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other technical software) and excellent communication/interpersonal skills required. Understanding of engineering concepts (Stress, Geartrain analysis, Load distribution, Fatigue Life/Damage, Gear strength, Clutch operation), Data acquisition/setup experience (strain gage application, accel & F/V principles), mechanical testing (Instron and MTS) and Fabrication (welding, machine shop, etc.) Applicant should be a quick learner, ability to travel and work overtime may be required.
